Internet of things, o Internet de las cosas, es la tecnología que en un futuro nos permitirá estar conectados en tiempo real, con un sinfín de elementos, para darnos todo tipo de información.

Ropa, electrodomésticos, vehículos, etc, estarán interconectados, para hacernos la vida más fácil, ..., o no

Lotería de Navidad

La semana que viene tenemos de nuevo el sorteo de lotería de Navidad.

En un evento en el que estuve hace unos meses, se me ocurrió este dibujo que he guardado hasta hoy, por la similitud con los números.

La verdad es que estamos rodeados de normas.

Ataque DDoS

Hablamos de un ataque DDoS, o ataque de denegación de servicios, cuando una página web es bloqueada por el acceso masivo de conexiones simultaneas, y no lo que vemos en el dibujo. Lo digo para que quede claro.

We speak about a DDoS attack, or denial of services, when a site is blocked by the massive entry of simultaneous connections, and not what we see in the drawing. I say this just to clarify the concept.

Ahora que llegan las Navidades, todos recibimos más correos no deseados, de los que recibimos habitualmente. Es lo que llamamos Spam, o correo basura.

Tenemos que estar atentos para no abrirlos, por mucho que nos prometan regalos, paquetes, o notificaciones de todo tipo, incluso mensajes de la policía. Lo mejor borrarlo sin abrirlo.

Si incumplimos esta norma básica, nos podemos encontrar con archivos borrados, encriptados, etc.

Now that Christmas comes, all received unwanted emails, more than usually. It is what we call spam.

We must be careful not to open them. It doen not matter if they promise gifts, packages, or notices of all kinds, including police posts. Best delete it without opening it.

If we violate this basic rule, we can find us with deleted files, encrypted, etc.
