Los contagios siguen en aumento y todos estamos alerta ante cualquier situación o comentario. No podemos bajar la guardia, pero tampoco podemos encerrarnos de por vida. Que la situación mejore no sólo depende de la sanidad, sino de nosotros mismos. Hay que conseguir que "la nueva normalidad" no se convierta en la normalidad futura.

Infections continue to increase and we are all alert to any situation or comment. We can't let our guard down, but we can't lock ourselves  for life. That the situation improves not only depends on health, but on ourselves. We must ensure that "the new normal" does not become the future normal.

Hoy en día todos somos expertos en virología, epidemiología, mascarillas y geles. Sabemos casi tanto como ese cuñado que todos tenemos y que lo sabe todo.

El problema es que como nos creemos expertos, también nos creemos que sabemos más que los profesionales sanitarios, y ahí es donde nos equivocamos, y donde poco a poco agrandamos la cadena de contagios

Today we are all experts in virology, epidemiology, masks and gels. We know almost as much as that brother-in-law we all have and who knows everything.

The problem is that since we believe we are experts, we also believe that we know more than healthcare professionals, and that is where we make mistakes, and where we gradually enlarge the chain of infections

Estamos en un momento delicado. La vuelta al cole con los inevitables miedos, el aumento de contagios y la mayor carga en hospitales, pero tenemos que seguir mirando hacia adelante. Esperemos que pronto lleguen esos refuerzos en educación y sanidad.

We are in a delicate moment. Going back to school with the inevitable fears, the increase in infections and the increased burden on hospitals, but we have to keep looking forward. We hope those reinforcements in education and health will arrive soon.

En la nueva normalidad nos trae consecuencias inimaginables e imprevisibles. Empieza la vuelta al coles, tenemos personas que no pueden trabajar porque sus empresas están en ERTE, etc. Esperemos que muy pronto podamos volver a la vida que conocíamos, antes de que se nos olvide como era.
