La semana pasada estuve en unas jornadas en el Norte de Francia, y al leer la carta a la hora de la comida, se me ocurrió este dibujo.

Creo que es un gran refrán, porque conocer la cultura y las tradiciones de otro país, son importantes a la hora de saber cómo comportarse ante cualquier situación.

Ayer estuve viendo el partido con unos colegas de otros países, y hubo mucho cachondeo. Como estoy en un evento de seguridad, se me ocurrió que era un poco tarde pero iba sien do hora de preparar un Disaster Recovery Plan.

Aunque se oye mucho hablar de este tema, el otro día en un evento sobre consultoría europea, se me ocurrió este dibujo al oir a uno de los ponentes.

Rafa lo ha vuelto a hacer. Ha ganado su noveno Roland Garros, y mantiene su número uno del ranking.

Además ha vencido a Djokovic, que ultimamente es su bestia negra.

No hay mucho más que decir. Enhorabuena campeón.

He has beaten Djokovic, who lastly is his black shadow.

Midiendo el talento

Ayer escuchaba en las noticias, que hoy se iban a entregar unas becas al talento. Me puse a pensar, cómo medir el talento, y se me ocurrió esta idea.

Ya sé que no es gran cosa, pero es un primer prototipo. En cuanto mejore la idea, la patento.

Yesterday, I heard on the news that today is going to be delivered some talent scholarships. I started to think about  how to measure talent, and I came up with this idea.

I know it is not much, but it is a first prototype. Once I improve the idea, I will patent it..

Transmisión de conocimiento

La gestión del conocimiento, es uno de los procesos de ITIL, pero que también está presente en otras metodologías.

Es un proceso complicado, porque el conocimiento es algo intangible, que no puedes almacenar en una estantería. Puedes guardar manuales, procedimientos, pero la experiencia que es la que complementa el conocimiento, no se puede guardar, simplemente hay que saber donde está.

¡Ojalá fuera tan fácil de transmitir como en el dibujo!

Knowledge management, is one of the ITIL processes, but is also present in other methodologies.

It is a complicated process, because knowledge is an intangible asset that can not be stored on a shelf. You can save manuals, procedures, but the experience, that is the complement of the knowledge, you can not save, you just have to know where it is.

I wish it were that easy to transmit as in the drawing!

Nuevo televisor curvo

Estos días he estado viendo los nuevos televisores curvos que han salido al mercado. De momento no están al alcance de todos los bolsillos, pero vamos a darle tiempo.

Me he puesto a pensar en la evolución de estos dispositivos. Al principio eran convexos, luego planos, y ahora cóncavos. Les hemos aplicado la dieta y no sólo han perdido la barriguilla, sino que se mete hacia dentro.

En fin, creo que es importante advertir a los niños, que son así, para que no nos ocurra lo que a nuestro amigo del dibujo.

These days I have been watching the new curved TVs that have arrived to the market. Currently they are not available to all budgets, but we are going to give it time.

I began to think about the evolution of these devices. At first they were convex, then flat, and now concave. We have applied the diet and they have not only lost the belly but hides inside.

Anyway, I think it is important to warn children that these TVs are like that, to avoid situations like our friend in the drawing.
